About Baytown Humane Society

We are an incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit group of concerned Baytown citizens working separately from but in cooperation with Baytown Area Shelters.

Our Vision is that NO animal entering into Baytown Area Shelters need be destroyed due to a lack of loving homes and responsible pet owners.

Our Mission is to relieve the suffering of animals and to improve their chances for adoption into loving and forever homes.

Our Plan will be accomplished through heightened public awareness and education concerning responsible pet ownership, assisting in operations of area animal shelters and raising funds for special projects benefiting animals; and therefore, benefiting the regional community.

Baytown Humane Society's Foster Care Program is made up of Citizens who open their hearts and homes to those unfortunate animals whose "time is up" in area shelters and/or those animals found abandoned and neglected on the streets.  Animals in the BHS Foster Program are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and treated for any maladies such as heartworms, mange, broken bones, etc. BEFORE they are adopted.

This website is currently featuring animals in URGENT NEED and those in the Foster Care Program.

Help us to continue saving animals in need in our community.  Please consider donating today!
