BIG NEWS!!!
Wade is
totally Well and Wade is ADOPTED!! He has
recovered from every single problem he had; and he's all about living life,
now! Wade is young, happy, healthy, and full of Shepherd Vim & Vigor!!!
Here he is flying his flag high!
Wade has made many, many friends;
human and canine, too! His very best canine buddy is Lil'Bit! Lil'Bit
isn't impressed at all that Wade has become a 3-legged celebrity... and Wade
seems to like it that way!
Here, they were sleeping together
until I woke them up with the camera.
Here the two of them are in only
one episode of:
"Whose Toy
IS it!"
Wade let Lil'Bit come take the toy
from between his feet...
Then, Wade protests playfully....
Lil'Bit Moves Away....
Wade says, "The little feller
took my toy!"
Wade Makes his Move....
Lil'Bit sees him comin....
Wade is winning!!
NO -- Lil'Bit is Winning!!
Wade says, "Oh, OK, if you want it THAT bad!"
As you can see, Wade is the sweetest thing on THREE legs and all of
us who have had the privilege to know him are Blessed! He has
taught us a lot about resilience, kindness, forgiveness and being
joyful in life!
Everything Wade does is at full steam ahead... I tried to capture
his exuberance, but the pictures just don't quite portray his
energy...
Just look at him go!
And Go...
He can run like the wind, and he's even learned that, if he gets a
running start, he can leap up on the Bed! Talk about joy in
motion...I wish you ALL could have seen how he reacted the first
time he made it up on the bed!! A moment I will NEVER forget!
Sheer surprise, joy and pride displayed by a
whirlwind in the middle of the bed!!
It can only be described as a Dance of Joy! He's done it twice
more now, and the couch is a piece of cake! That rear leg just
had to get strong enough to spring him up; and now, you can't keep
him down!
So, Sweet Wade, it's time to give you your own home and family...
It's hard to let go, but knowing that this was the whole purpose
from the beginning and knowing that you DESERVE to have this
wonderful life, makes it bearable. We aren't saying Good-bye!
Never!!
We ARE saying, Good Life!!
Here is Wade in his new home, complete with a dog door, playmate,
and parents who LIVE for their dogs.
Wade deserves nothing less than the Best!
Oh, don't worry, Wade & Lil'Bit will still be able to visit one
another! Wade's home is nearby, and he can visit anytime. His
Mom & Dad have also given us permission to "borrow" Wade from
time to time for special events, in order to show what kind of
work Baytown Humane Society does with the help of its
supporters, members and volunteers; and to show what kind of
wonderful animals suffer at the hands of uncaring humans every
single day. Education is the KEY!
THANK YOU ALL for making it possible for Wade's story to have a
happy ending! Your outpouring of support and caring was
very touching, and it is how this story came to be such
a happy one. Thank goodness there are people like you out there
to counteract people like the
one(s) who threw Wade away!
