If
you think you know who Bikers are, you might want to rethink the
stereotype! The BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) bikers are Different!
Those big, gruff-looking, tattooed men and their wives are the nicest, kindest,
most giving people you will ever meet!
BACA invited Baytown Humane Society to bring our animals and join them in the
recent "Boo-Bash" sponsored by them and hosted by East Side Honda.
While the weather was wet, nothing could dampen the good spirits of these people
and the fun had by all.
The entire event was designed with children in mind; and oh, what fun they had!
The Spook House was done by BACA members in the old Brick Kiln on East Side
Honda's property, and WHAT a spook house it was.. Scared young and old alike!
There were clowns (be sure to see the pic of one biker painting the face of
another), witches, and goblins of all descriptions. There was good food
(some cooked on coffin-shaped BBQ pits designed and built by "Dead Serious
Cookers" from Crosby), good friends and fun to be had by all ---
Especially the Children...
We appreciate so much the opportunity to meet the BACA members who work so hard
for the benefit of children. They do a lot of fun things for children, but their
work turns much more serious for abused children. If you are interested to
know who THESE bikers are, go to their website: www.bacahouston.com
and check it out. Good people through and through.
Thank you BACA for inviting Baytown Humane Society to participate!
We got several good applications to adopts pets, and two new volunteers for
Baytown Humane Society. The children loved the dogs and vice versa!
What a good combination. Let's do it again next year!
